I’m not going to beat around the bush here – having online storage is the BOMB. It’s just a shame you can’t be logged in to multiple Dropbox account at a time… but not with Shift.
Unless you can shell out enough to have a business or premium account, pretty much every cloud storage platform has its limits. Dropbox is one of the biggest and most popular, and there’s a reason for it. It’s handy, it’s helpful, and you don’t need to be a genius to use it. Simplicity is always a plus as far as we’re concerned.
In order to manage multiple Dropbox accounts in one place, you need to be on their business plan. Alternatively, you could just use Shift. With Shift, you don’t need to pay for a business account to access multiple Dropbox folders. Mindblowing, right?
Signing into multiple Dropbox accounts with Shift
As with everything, Shift makes life all the more productive by keeping everything in one place. Including more than one Dropbox account.
1. Launch Shift and click Add Application [+]
2. Search for Dropbox
3. Log in
In order to add another, simply repeat this step as much as you want.
Note: You can also merge more than one Dropbox – this is incredibly handy for when you are constantly having to search through multiple accounts.
Signing into multiple Dropbox accounts without Shift
However, if you’re a Dropbox Business customer, you can have multiple accounts. One for business, one for personal, even one for pictures of your favorite video game character, if you’re into that.
Checking your Dropbox account type
1. Sign into dropbox.com
2. At the bottom left-hand-side of the page, it will tell you what sort of account you have.

Connecting multiple Dropbox accounts (requires a business account)
1. Sign in to “dropbox.com” using your business account
2. Click on your avatar located up at the top-right corner
3. Click “settings”
4. In the “connect your personal Dropbox” section, click “connect”
Having multiple paid membership for SaaS apps can add up quick. Instead, try Shift Advanced to manage multiple accounts of various apps such as Evernote, Slack, WhatsApp, and Asana.
