Being confined to just one account is a little too Steam-y for us here at Shift. That’s why we’ve made sure that it’s possible to use multiple Discord accounts at once. Switching Discord accounts by logging out and logging back in can be a big waste of time. Maybe you use a personal Discord account at home and a different one for work. Or maybe you have different identities across multiple gaming platforms like Steam, Origin or IRC that you would like to keep separate. Whatever the reason, Shift makes switching between multiple Discord accounts easy.
Sometimes, you want to play games your friends don’t know about. Since Discord is primarily for the gaming community, it goes without saying that if you want to play The Cat Games instead of Overwatch, you’ll be teased.
Unless that is, you have multiple Discord accounts.
Similarly, as with Reddit and WhatsApp, you can also definitely sign into multiple Discord accounts using Shift.
Sign into multiple Discord accounts at once
If you already have the Discord app loaded onto your Shift, you only need to do these steps once.
If you don’t yet – just do it again!
1. Open Shift
2. Click “Add Application” (the [+] icon)
3. Search for Discord
4. Click “Save“
5. Sign in with your account
6. Repeat with as many Discord accounts as you like
If you wonder why you’d need to log into multiple Discord accounts, try it next time and see the benefits.
Discord has an amazing community of gamers from all walks of life and then some.
It’s just that… Well. Sometimes, you just don’t want to play Overwatch.
